16 Electrode Sense/Stim System

This system was designed and built to support acute animal studies that require adaptable stimulation parameters. The system includes a power conversion and isolation chip that can be powered using a single power supply connected to the wall or by a battery. Both configurations can be used with this system. Stimulation pulses with a compliance voltage up to +/-6V can be produced and sensing is capable of monitoring 16 channels simultaneously via instrumentation amplifiers. The system has been designed to be operated via a SPI interface driven with an FPGA that can be programmed with a PC using Python.
